I remember eating this dish when I was in Dubai, working at the Dubai International Airport. There was a restaurant there that offered two varieties of this dish. My favorite was the Pan-Fried Fish, I don’t know what kind of fish they use but I always order it every time we eat there. It is a simple yet flavorful dish, crunchy at the outside, soft in the inside.
I was thinking of cooking this dish for a long time now, but I was not sure what type of fish to use. Since cream dory was easy to get and not too pricy, I decided to use it in this dish.

*I did not put measurements, just your heart when measuring your ingredients.
Instructions
- Mix all the dry ingredients.
- Cover your cream dory with the dry ingredients.
- Pan fry cream dory until golden brown.
- Add butter to oil, then baste your cream dory before removing from pan.
Sauce
- Chopped Garlic
- Add chopped garlic to melted butter.
In the restaurant where I used to eat, they served this dish with saffron rice. If you don’t have saffron, just add butter to your hot rice. There is no such thing as too much butter.
A good alternative for the sauce is garlic mayo sauce, like the one they used for shawarma. That can also work for this dish.
A simple dish for a simple meal, when shared with the ones you love is always special.
