Weight and fitness were not my priority when I was young. I had a lot of exercise by playing sports in school and in our neighborhood. You could say I was in perfect shape at that time. But now that I am older, my body feels different. I frequently feel tired, have low energy, and demotivated. For the longest time, I have been planning to go to the gym and exercise, but I always had an excuse not to go. In fact, I was just too lazy and still in disbelief that I am old.
Until a couple of weeks ago, I experienced numbness in both my legs and arms. It lasted for two weeks, it was a wake-up call for me. I blamed myself for neglecting my body and waited for something like this to happen. When numbness was gone, I decided to start my fitness journey at home. With the help of two dumbbells and an exercise mat, I am determined to follow through.
I want to share my journey with you so that you can act as my witness and conscience. As my witness, I will share with you my weekly progress and seek guidance and strength along the way. To motivate me during my low days, I need someone to hold me accountable without any excuses.
Currently, I am in my second week of my fitness journey. There hasn’t been much progress in my physical appearance yet, but I feel more energetic and accomplished.
