Periwinkle is our bunso in the family. She is six years old and super kulit. Unfortunately for the past two years she has been cooped up inside the house, rarely going outside. We are very protective of our Twinkle (short for Periwinkle), this pandemic has been very hard for our family. We made adjustment and sacrifices just to make sure our children are protected against Covid. I know there are a lot of families who are experiencing the same situation we are.
Now that there is a Vaccine to combat Covid, life is starting to slowly go back to normal. Vaccines are now being given to children, first the teens and now toddlers.
Before deciding to allow Twinkle to have the Vaccine for Covid. We as her parents did research and talked about it numerous times. We weighed the pros and the cons in having the Vaccine.
Aside from the pros and cons of the Vaccine we also talked about the psychological effect to Twinkle of not being able to get out of the house and having a normal interaction with other kids her age. Even with the technology today, as a parent I still want my kids to experience being able to physically play with other kids. Also, online learning still lacks certain things that I feel only a physical schooling can give.
Finally, we decided to have Twinkle take the Covid-19 Vaccine. Not because the government said so, it is because we decided as parents that the pros out weight the cons.
It is important for the parents to make the decision and not anyone else. Listen to facts and base your decision in science, and in the end make your conclusion before it is to late.
