Now, forgive me because this is a late post. Last July I celebrated my birthday. It was just a simple celebration together with my family. I always wanted to try The Alley by Vikings. It’s a buffet style restaurant but is different from the other Vikings restaurant. Why was it different is also the reason why I wanted to try it out. The nearest The Alley branch to us is at the U.P. Town Center but Vikings, which is the owner of the franchise, is planning to open up a new branch at the Cloverleaf Ayala Mall, which is much nearer to us from the north.
The Alley is a food park style buffet restaurant that offers numerous options from Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Thai, English, American, and Filipino cuisine. They also have Filipino style street food which is good specially for those who want to treat their foreigner friends. Present also inside The Alley are the different infused drinks, drink all you can beer bottled and draft. Something new is the cocktail. There is a bar that has a sign for the cocktail of the day which you can order limitless. Sadly you can only order this cocktail nothing else. What is also new is the English section where you can order fish and chips and seafood chowder that comes in a bread bowl.
We had a great time celebrating my birthday at The Alley. If you are just about to try The Alley, my inside tips are reserve online one day ahead and there are food that you can order at each counter that they do not offer immediately or do not display that you can easily see. So better ask the chefs inside the booth. Enjoy!
