Last week Max’s celebrated its 70th year anniversary. The event was held in Max’s first store in Scout Tuazon in Quezon City. My wife and I had the privileged of attending the event. It was full of fun filled facts about the past, present and were the Max group of restaurant are heading in the future.
Inside the compound of the restaurant they have added a new venue place. It was huge and elegantly designed.
At the center of the venue Max set up memorabilia’s from Max’s long history of serving the best fried chicken in town. While two of the grand children of the founder of Max recall how the iconic restaurant started. It is amazing to know that such a big company started from humble beginnings. One thing I learned and probably humbled me is that all of the big names right now in Max have started working in the restaurant in such a young aged it was practically run by the whole family.
I know from what I have heard that Max’s will continue to served the best fried chicken in the Philippines and whole world for another 70 years. And for the looks of it the founder of Max has left the business in very good hands.
Just to add when I was still working in Dubai, when max opened its restaurant there we were the first ones to jump for joy knowing we could find Filipino comfort food in such a far away place.
